The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder

Today I read an article about Egypt and a Coptic papyrus involving something something about Jesus having a wife (the article was actually a lot more interesting than I'm making it sound, and can be found here) and was reminded of one of my favorite books from when I was younger:

I, of course, promptly bought a paperback copy on Amazon so I could reread it this weekend and revel in my youth. Or, something like that.

(In case you're wondering, I also signed up for a SF library card so I could reread the rest of her books at a slightly cheaper rate. I do have limits, you know.)

Everyone should read these books. So, get to it! Also, how amazing is the author's name? Expect my first child to be named Zilpha. Or Snyder.

What was your favorite children's series? Would you still read them as an adult?
