Bloggees, I have been remiss in my treatment of you. I have neglected to share an essential part of my life for the past few months, and I have repeatedly refrained from taking the time to properly share that part with you. I have seen the error of my ways, and am committing myself to telling you all about this massive event that occurred four months ago, with photographic evidence.

I'm finally going to post about my New York trip!

I had every intent, originally, of sharing these pictures and stories with you the second I got back to California. I took copious photos of every playful, joyful, relaxing, exhausting moment spent with some of my best friends in the Big Apple and even scripted potential blog posts in my brain, first photo caption to closing line, during my stay there.

Then, real life kicked in. And I realized how many pictures I had actually taken in two and a half days. I began to question the practicality, not to mention the aesthetic appeal, of putting all 300 (I'm not exaggerating) photos in one post, or two, or seven. And I determined I should create a separate post for each event, each restaurant, each Central Park walk. I still think that is the best way to properly show you the scenes of my sojourn, but more important than that, I think I had best show you something at all.

So, dear Readers, yet another promise to you, here and now: I solemnly swear to draft, edit, and publish at least four posts of my New York trip by the end of next week. I WILL SHOW YOU MY VACATION PHOTOS IF IT IS THE LAST THING I DO! I hope it's not, but at this rate, it may take me another seventy years anyway. So I don't want to make too many sweeping statements.

To tide you over, here's a few teaser snapshots:

Get excited. The most ridiculous faces are yet to come.
