One Two Three: Getaway Edition
With the recent heat wave sweeping the nation (sweeping the nation!), I thought it'd be fun to be a little escapist with this post. So here, I present to you, my One Two Three: Getaway Edition.
It's been a dream of mine to see the Pyramids, ever since I learned in art history about their (alleged) alignment with Orion's belt, my favorite constellation! My friend Camille traveled to Egypt after we took the Bar and I am infinitely jealous of her experiences. Hopefully someday soon (read: within the next twenty years) I'll be able to see these beauts in person. And hopefully a camel won't spit on me while I'm doing this.
Greece is my ultimate travel destination. I want to go to Santorini more than I want to go anywhere. I would even eat scary boiled octopus while I was there! This urge may stem partially from the scenery displayed in such classic films as Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Mamma Mia!... but it also comes from wanting to see the serenity of an untouched island in person. Who wouldn't want to spend an evening under the clear night sky, listening to mandolins play, eating fresh baklava and seafood and hearing the soft but steady crash of waves in the distance? Yeah, that sounds horrible. No one would want that. Yuck.
If you're like me, you like curling up next to a crackling fire with a mug of coco and a good book (alright, or a good Harry Potter movie, who am I kidding?) just as much as you like laying out on a sandy beach. So for those of you who prefer to visit somewhere a little less sun-soaked, Sea Cliff Village in Greenland is your home away from home. Greenland is the world's largest island, and the world's least densely populated country. How about that? Also, the average daily temperatures vary by season from 18 degrees to 45 degrees Farenheit. So, take your parka when you go. Also, take pictures of the wild stoat! Look at how cute that little buddy is...
Do you have any dream destinations you're saving up to visit someday?
