Giving Thanks
We went to visit extended family in Sebastopol this year and had one of the best Thanksgivings I can remember. It was warm, and relaxed, and full of family and good food. It really reminded me of how thankful I am for all of the blessings in my life, especially my ever-supportive family!
We filled up on turkey, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and roast fennel with onions. Then we all ambled (slowly) down the street and through the surrounding neighborhood. By "neighborhood," I really mean fields and greenery. The trees were still turning colors, and everything was so picturesque.
I never want to have Thanksgiving in a city again! Unless snow is involved. Snow makes everything feel like a holiday celebration.
