Wearables: Grey Summer

Summers in San Francisco are less summer-like than one would think. For one thing, they involve lots of wind. And occasionally lightening storms and 50-degree nights. But mostly wind, and fog coming in off the ocean.  

...so, it's rare that it's warm enough to sport shorts and sandals, much less shorts, sandals, and a flowy shirt! This weekend the weather was beautiful, beautiful enough to wear all of the above in one monotone outfit. Did I ever mention that my favorite color is grey? It is. I know, that's weird, but it's such a nice neutral! Beige is coming in a close second.

This necklace was one of my online purchases (of which there has been a recent rash, a fact that needs to change) from the Statement Necklace Era. I love the neon yellow accents around the "neutral" (is clear a neutral? or is that like a negative of a negative being a positive?) crystals. I think it's subtle in its whackiness, which is perfect for me because otherwise I would overdo it entirely!

Have I mentioned lately that I love neon? And I love neon and neutrals together. So, this outfit happened.
