Knit Two Together: Granny Squares Blanket

You guys: I am going to make this blanket following this pattern using yarn I bought long ago for some far-off idea of a blanket for which I didn't even have a pattern yet.

I have been looking for a granny-squares blanket pattern for a few months now and I am so excited to see how this one turns out. The yarns I already have are colored in varying shades of grey, beige, and yellows, so this may just end up looking like a giant wheat field waiting to be harvested from my easy chair. I'll keep you posted.
